To those eventually traveling to Japan this winter. PACK FRICKIN' warmly! And maybe a pair of skis. Espically if you're thinking of going up nort. The amout of snow they have up there is obscene. I'm in Japan now, about to go to the airport to leave which is for sucks harder than anything has sucked before. Anyway, it's a new year gentlemen. Looking forward to gaming wit ya'll. Oh! Also, to those traveling in Japan, it would be a very very good idea to learn hiragana and katakana before you come. It will come in very handy when you're traveling on the wonderful mass transit system this country has. Often times the current stop has the romanji on it but the next stop is only written in hiragana. I found knowing the hiragana makes it far easier to navigate. Gotta run, later dooodes. |

| Now Whisky, I am not some E-l33t h4x0r dud3 like j00, so this "dual boot" thing elludes me. I mean, don't all boots come in pairs already? Is there some kind of new internet venture where you can buy left and right boots seperately in the event that you want to mix things up? Why do computers even need boots? They don't have any feet, and I'm certain they would be much happier with a simple stocking cap, or a pair of mittens. Anyway, I appreciate your concern for my computer's apparel. Too many computers these days are forced to run around naked, and that is not a good example to expose our children to. | |

Crow, Ah. I see. That's not the worst way to go. I did a dual boot on my AE beast, and found my Windows 32 install never gets used. There are very rare circumstances where hardware isn't supported yet, but for the most part everything is sweet. I haven't booted 32 on that machine in months, no reason to. And I have found the 64 bit os is far more responsive that 32 bit windows, but that could just be because my brain misfires every 32nd cycle. Happy New Year everyone! May all your happy new year dreams come true! F$CK the Police! Where are those pesky pants? B_W |

Nearscape: the mainstream news media takes its marching orders from the New York Times; it is the first paper editors and journalists read in the morning. News articles get reprinted, verbatim, from a handful of wire services. Here is quote from Walter Cronkite's book, A Reporter's Life, that demonstrates the consistency throughout the media at the time of Nixon (pre-Watergate): "What Safire and Buchanan chose to ignore was that the play of stories on front pages across the country was, almost without exception, exactly as it was on the network's evening newscasts. The managing editors of those mostly Republican-owned newspapers weighed the news and came to the same conclusions as the broadcast editors did." This, by the way, was evidence that Cronkite was using to try to prove that there was no monolithic media. Then, the "facts" reported in these articles are often uncritically recycled into later articles. It could be Bush's plastic turkey or the FBI investigating a college student for checking out Mao's little read book or the growing deficit or that both ice caps are melting. Once it makes itself into a news report, journalists will consider it gospel. How does the journalism "profession" react to outside influences. Let's have Kathleen Parker, a director at the School of Written Expression at the Buckley School of Public Speaking and Persuasion in Camden, South Carolina, tell us about how bloggers should be treated: "We can't silence them, but for civilization's sake - and the integrity of information by which we all live or die - we can and should ignore them." This is what is being taught to future journalists. It comes down to the falsity of journalistic standards. Journalists, so they say, are supposed to be tough and agressive. The easiest way to do this is to be negative. "If it bleeds it leads" and all that jazz. If you are telling someone they're wrong or that there is a problem that we are not doing enough about, you appear to fit this criterion. If you say everything is swell and the system is doing a fine job, you don't, even if everything really is swell and the system is actually doing a fine job. Journalists, so they say, are also supposed to be fair and accurate. Well, how the hell do you know if you are being sufficiently fair and accurate? You could simply be honest and give straight forward reporting no matter where your line of inquiry leads, but if that report ends up going against common journalistic "wisdom" you can expect to get charges of bias hurled at you from left and further left (let's face it, there is no right in journalism). Again, appearance here matters more than reality. If you go along to get along, you prevent yourself from being the nail that sticks out, so you do not have to worry about being hammered down. If there is consensus, then people, such as Walter Cronkite, will think all is right in the world of journalism and everyone is being fair and accurate. Step out of line and you will be disowned by your profession. Journalism is not like any other product, and its primary producers do not act like any other company. The industry perceives quality to be best measured by how well a news outlet conforms, not by its faithfulness to the truth. Thus, the mainstream media is remarkably inept at responding to the market, as it believes better means more of the same. |

Why not go 64 Crow? It's the way to go. Really. the 939 chipset is very cheap and has all the toyz, just get a single core till you want to go all the way. Do whatever you want, but this is the way I would do it, to maximize the 00nz for your $$$. (I would also go windows 64...becuase it's better...snappier...and pretty great...our 3d man uses it at work, and swears by it, and so do I) B_W |

I'm a little disappointed, though, with his predilection for blaming any and all poor management decisions on Teh 3VIL, Monolithic Media, but I guess that's the fad these days. Strange how people can be very smart on a variety of subjects, and so completely brain-dead when it comes to mass communication. It's a commercial business, folks, like any other. And it's plural. This is not a gaming box, although I most certainly will be using it when I come up for LANs. Interestingly enough, I picked out the TWINX2048-3200C2PT memory model over a year ago, so I won't change it now. I'm just going to stick with plain old Windows XP Professional and not go 64-bit yet. I'm also intending on simply getting a cheap video card initially, one that I will latter replace with a Quadro FX card (the 1400 supports SLI, very nice). I'm going to borrow the floppy drive from my current PC for the install instead of wasting $10 on a dust collector. |

Recently the dark state has started sending out Birth Certs from an online form, I ordered mine today. I also checked in to passports and if you expediate them($60 more) then you can get them in 1-3 weeks from order to doorstep. The Juneu Ave. Post Office does passport stuff and an appointment, and 2 passport photos are required. I should have my BC now by January 8th(probaly much sooner) and so a trip in late January/Febuary/March is doo able for me. In terms of the hotel question, i have a number of starwood points that i can put towards the hotel if Nick is not able to participate. With close to 40k in points i can get 3-4 nights free in a catagory 4 hotel(10k points a night) or see below. One of the Tokyo hotels is rated durring peak seasons as a catagory 5(12k points a night). So for 60$ a night we can get a great hotel with my starwood points, i have 37k points to use how ever we like. # US $25 and 1,200 Starpoints per night for Category 1 hotels # US $30 and 1,600 Starpoints per night for Category 2 hotels # US $45 and 2,800 Starpoints per night for Category 3 hotels # US $60 and 4,000 Starpoints per night for Category 4 hotels |

with a 3800, you are probably better getting a single core, if this box is going to be used for gaming, else it does not matter. I have an 3500+ single core that I am willing to sell for 150$, I am looking for an excuse to upgrade the box to dual core 4400+. Only go with crucial xms memory, do not get generic, you will REGRET IT. You should get 2gb as new games require it. this memory module will allow you to turn on the MSI feature of dynamic overclocking. www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145594 this is no thrills 2gb of memory with a cl2(this is a must for AMD systems) www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145575 interms of msi boards that are pci express 16x capable i would recomend K8N NEO4 Platinum - This is a 4 generation board design that has been refined several times, I would expect this board to be feature loaded and error free. I have a neo 4, and i think dave has the neo 4 platinum. This board probably has more features than you need, but it does not have SLI. www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130484 K8N SLI-F - This is a no frills MSI SLI board, and it seems to be a younger MB platform, This board is cheaper and has not been tourture tested as much as the platinum, I would only go with this board if you need SLI now. www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130527 a few notes, SATA/RAID drivers will need to be installed durring the "DOS" version of the winxp installer, for both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the os, and this REQUIRES A FLOPPY DRIVE. I can get you a copy of vista if you want to give it a go, the installer is clean and after you pick your install drive, it is a one click install. Windows Vista coolest feature as of yet, is in its installer, you can install the OS on raid controllers without floppy drives, infact, if you need to load drivers, you can do this from anyone of your active drives, ie... USB flash keys, CDs, DVD, etc... If you are going to go 64 bit, or vista please check for drivers in advance from the hardware vendors that you are going to use. Another note on Vista, is that it will require a DirectX 10 with 256MB card to have all of the features on. All of the current cards on the market are less than DirectX 9.0c and will not provide any Windows Vista Acceleration. nVidia should be releasing thier DirectX 10 cards sometime after january 15th and sometime before april 15th. My recomendation is, if you are planing on geting a Vista card, then get a cheaper graphics card for now, and then upgrade it later. ps. those are checkboxes in the newegg power search, not radio buttons, you can select more than one. |

Yeah, Dave doesn't have that problem with premiere. Then again, Dave uses a dedicated firewire card. No reason really, I just have quite a few firewire devices...like that firewire toaster oven and who can forget about the firewire grog mixer. Yeah. Then again, NS, be ready to encounter that problem with a dedicated card. Avids, for as solid as they can be, can kick your a$$ with random settings crap. Been there, done that. ;) Way to go crow! That power search function still has the same problem I'm talking about. There is no way to set a minimum number. But yes, I am FINALLY building a machine. I'll be ordering the parts within the next two weeks and I plan to put everything together the weekend I get back from NC. So it looks like everyone is in agreement that I should not go with the ASUS, and from those who offered an alternative the consensus is to go with MSI. As for dual core processors, the 3800+ is at the limit of my pricerange, so that is as fast as I go. |

first in defense of new egg, try the power searh here: www.newegg.com/ProductSort/RangeSearch.asp?SubCategory=22 next asus is the only brand to innovate first, that is what they are know for, newest features/ and fastest overclocking. The one asus board i had was the first 64 bit motherboard, and JB can probibly tell the stories of how i would swear at the thing reguarly trying to get it to work. after 5 bios updates the thing is rock solid and is one of the few boards that boots in 64 bit linux without needing to install drivers, they were first and so the developers were able to write the drivers into the os. Asus releases updates reguarly and that usually will fix any probelms that you have over time. Right now i am waiting on an A8n32-sli to come in stock at new egg, or monarch computer. The a8n-sli premium is a well used board and has been known not to have alot of problems, but sales have dropped off in anticipation of the a8n32 board that is the only board that features 2 full speed 16x pci slots. In terms of sli boards that have one 16x and one 8x slot, MSI has some great boards and i would agree with the rest to go that route if you want a clean working system. Asus is always trying something new and has never taken the phrase, "if it anit broke dont fix it." All that aside, they design the motherboards for dell, and i am going to still build a system around it, but i have alot of practice at it too. For the processor, DUAL CORE is the way to go, and the faster the better. Cache, is not an issue on AMD processors, because the memory controller is so fast. So get one as fast as you can and ignore the cache size. if the capacitor is not connected to the circuit, then i could be anything, but yes it is definitly related. are you building a computer crowscape? |

| one fair warning about the K8N Neo4, though it probably won't apply to you and probably isn't MSI's fault. The one I've got at work, the on-board Firewire isn't 100% real-time reliable for things like video capture with machine control. It'll only read timecode and DV streams in sync for about 20-30 minutes at at time. This means I can't cue up giant, long batch-captures in Avid Xpress and let 'er rip, because after 4 or 5 clips there will probably be a "communications error". Now, Avid clearly states that you're supposed to use a dedicated Firewire card for this on their support site, so that's why I say it probably has more to do with the way the Avid software is written than with MSI's engineering. I'm not exactly following the instructions. I'm probably going to put a real Firewire card in it next month just to test this theory, I'll let you know how that goes if it's not too late. I don't think Dave has this problem with Premiere. | |

I would suggest the MSI Neo-Platunum 939. I have built 3 so far, and not one motherboard related issue. It's got all the toyz for all the girls and boys. (PCI-E, dual gigabit, 2 different styles of RAID, X2 dual core suport, etc) And it's fairly inexpensive. Also, I have never had an issue with NewEgg's search. It's always been good to me. Then again, you have to know what you are looking for. Mostly I search for the archetecture, then look at the toyz. Say Nforce 4 Ultra, then see which of those is best. Because I know Nforce 4 ultra has what I NEED, and those boards are all the same in it's basic specs, (such as PCI-E non SLI, and 939 socket) then some add additional firewire, raid, sound, usb, and diagnostic tools to 'sweeten the pot'. It's all good. The only Asus mobo I owned, I want to shoot with a gun, at close range. That MFer was the bane of my existance for 2 years. But you give it a try and tell me what you think. Hopefully you will get better results. ;) B_W |

| SLI isn't important to me. It's just that happens to be the board that has everything I want. I'm finding that Newegg's search engine sucks. Let's say you want a PCI-Express x16 on your machine. You cannot just say "any motherboard with PCI-Express x16." instead you have to specify 0, 1, 2, or 3. Since I want a minimum of 1, I have to run the search three times. Same thing with gigabit LAN. I want a minimum of one gigabit port, so I have to run a search for computers with a gigabit port, and for computers with two gigabit ports. I'm up to six searches. Let's say I also want some SATA-II goodness, I have to now run eighteen searches. SCREW YOU NEWEGG! | |

Don't know anything about that particular model, but I'm not likely to find out. I've kind of put Asus in the "overrated" category and moved on. I've had 3 computer components fail on me in the last 5 years: Vantus' original optical drive (which I dropped in the Gesu parking lot), Vantus' PC Power and Cooling PSU (which was also dropped, but ran fine for 2 years after the incident, so who knows), and the original Asus MB in Aphex (which was never mistreated, and as far as I can tell, it just plain sucked). I believe Dave also had trouble with a more high-end Asus. I'm probably going to keep buying MSI until one of those blows up, and so far the 3 I use regularily (2 at work and one in Vantus) have been rock solid. I especially apppreciate the on-board RAID support on the newer ones (K8N Neo4 939 in BLI-2), which I beat the crap out of and has been super-swell (I've done Avid DV exporting, Combustion 2k Cineon rendering, and 8x DVD burning all at the same time, and none of them failed on standard 7200RPM drives). Vantus even survived a BIOS update after 18 months of use, which enabled support for 4 gigs of RAM (the only consumer MB from that era that I've ever heard of actually doing that). So for cheap, straight up MB, Shuttle FTW For robust, high-end MB, MSI FTW Not scientific, just, you know, experience. I'm sure Kruger can talk more about modern features like SLI and what not. |

Wow! SPOOLAN TAKES NO BREAKS. Adam beat me to the punch, but I am going to post on Spoolan on Christmas anyway. Now we have officially posted on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Spoolan cannot be held back! Intrigue...because of the discharge, I think it is a capacitor (as Adam also concurs). I'm not sure if a cold soder joint or resistor would do this. |

Intrigue: I tried the cheese, it didn't get the mice moving (but the cockroaches sure jumped on it pretty fast!) Just kidding. Adam: These are PS/2 mice (two of the four were USB mice with a PS/2 adapter). The USB mice won't even work in other computer USB slots; they have been fried. PS/2 does carry voltage over the line, and essentially that is what has been frying the mice. I took the computer over to our department's resident computer tech and he and I figured out that the PS/2 port is frying my mice. (It looks like every four hours or so a built up charge was discharging across the PS/2 port - sounds like a bad capacitor somewhere. I am currently using my 5 mouse of the week (a USB mouse plugged into a USB port) and I haven't had a problem since. Neither I or the department tech have actually heard of this happening before to a PS/2 port, but there's a first time for everything! |

| Has anyone here ever gone through three (3) computer mice in one day before? I am not kidding. Currently my computer has had four mice plugged into it today. This morning when I got in, my optical mouse worked for the first half an hour, then promptly stopped functioning. Now, I have had this first mouse for the last five years and so I figured that it had finally died after many years of loyal service. By chance, we had purchased a backup optical mouse for my computer last year. I plugged this one in and it worked right away. For the next three hours this mouse worked beautifully....then it promptly decided to stop functioning. Intrigued, I plugged in a traditional (non-optical) mouse and that mouse worked just fine...for another four hours before it promptly died on me as well. Becoming noticeably upset by this point, I took the three defective mice to the computer lab upstairs and tried them on fresh computers. None of the three mice worked on any of the computers in the lab; all were DOA. Now, I am using one of the lab computer mice on my computer which (if you've been counting) is the fourth mouse of the day for my computer. My PS/2 port seems to be fine and it doesn't seem to be sending any exhorbitant current pulses that might fry the mice. Norton doesn't pick anything up, neither does Stinger. Anyone have any clues? | |

i am suprised that BB even made it to the list, the special effects did not make the movie at all, this was just balanced movie. OUT: -Batman Begins -Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (its sad, but dancing squirels are not enough) IN: -Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (best cg talking animals ever) -War of the Worlds (I agree with JB all the way) UNDECIDED: -Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (i would expect SW to beat this) -King Kong (might be a suprise treat) -Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith (this looked very good, but i will need to see kong and HP first) |

nearscape, I'm sorry, were we judging these effects films on their ideology/mythology? Does that play a role in the judging? In that case I think things will look a little different: Out: BB - It wasn't realistic...Batman didn't drink enough. SW3 - Mythology? Ideology? None present! HP - Vomit Flavor! In: WotW - Vampiric Space Aliens. Enough Said. I'm in. C&tCF - I liked it's anti-whining/sassing off message. KK - It really happened. Really. CoN - Hey, at least it was true to the text. Better than most. B_W |

hmm...I haven't seen Potter, Charlie, or Kong. Of the remainder though, there were 2 that I found unimpressive. Batman I felt suffered from a lack of consistency. Some of the Gotham stuff was over-the-top fantasy-looking, which wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't intercut with mundane stock footage of Chicago. Also I remember some of the stunts and digital double stuff feeling awkward (compared to, say, Spider-Man 2). SW3, while probably the best of the prequels due to the re-incorporation of miniatures, still suffered from "been there, done that" over-hyping. Didn't feel like progress was being made. For example, the space battle in Serenity, despite having a tiny effects budget, was far more compelling than the opening of SW3 due to Zoic's signature rough CG cameras and the use of many more different, original ship designs and exciting maneuvers. Serenity was "better" and SW3 was "more". But I suppose that's moot. I wouldn't mind WotW getting some props. I didn't expect much, what with "blue collar Cruise" and all, but they stayed consistent with their rough and harsh first-person-war-documentary-style camera for the whole damn movie, which I thought was a cool approach. However, I also know that it makes the visual effects work a royal pain in the ass. It's really much easier to make fantastic, perfect vista money shots (like Star Wars, LotR) than to seamlessly incorporate real-world grit and erratic camera work, FOV changes, etc. The fact that the WotW shots turned out as well as they did was a much bigger accomplishment than it looks. And Narnia was all epic and Neverending Story-like, and I liked it, Christian mythology notwithstanding. |

Out: C&tCF - they weren't that great WotW - the film wasn't that great BB - not really that efxee, but it was good none the less In: CoC - I think the best efx of the year. HP - Because it's gonna be in let's face it. KK - It looks effing cool SW3 - I personally think Serenity had better efx, but that's just me. ;) B_W |

The top 7 contenders for Best Visual Effects for the Oscars are out. In January a committee will narrow the 7 down to 4 for the final Oscar vote. Which three of the seven do you think should be cut? Here are the noms: -Batman Begins -Charlie and the Chocolate Factory -Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe -Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire -King Kong -Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith -War of the Worlds |

Gentlemen, Just wanted to say I had the BEST time in Milwuakee yesterday in a long while. While I don't like that politics came up (cause that usually gets me into trouble) I did learn that while we do not share the same ideas on how to get from point A to B, we do likey share the same definition of what B is. That's something I really didn't know yesterday driving down there, but that was a very cool thing to leave town with. Thank you gentlemen, for a great time. :) |

| Kickin it old skhool at the Retro Gaming Event. I pitty the fool who isn't here, and pitty is deadly to God. So you bastards who haven't stepped up are guilty of deicide. I'd say you'd all burn in hell, but there is no hell without God, so instead I'll just say "melons" and be done with it. | |

| My ass is likley stuck in Moline till tomarrow. As such, my ass is kind of angery. Kinda rumbly and bumbly too. But that could just be gas. I don't think I'll get back to GB until late tomarrow the way things are going here. I can agree with saturDAY cause I have to get back to GB so I can go to Oconto on Sunday for a Christmas party on Joci's side of the family. | |

well, 'friday the 13th' is my birthday...so that might just be something...considering I usually don't do much for my birthday. I'm probably going down to chi-town a little early to hook up with some peeps down there, possibly for a meal or something, then a show, then a club after the show, then returning, and sleeping, (because we probably won't get back till 4 or 5) so its looking a little thin. But, I will attend what I can. Laterz, B_W |
|
| Posted by: nearscape | Posted on: Tuesday December 13 2005 1:36pm |
| While I would also like to attend the show saturday night, this is still the best weekend for quite some time for this event. I plan on gaming friday, saturDAY (until probably 8), and sunday if Intrigue will still have it. Even if we cut for 5 hours to hear some phat beats, I don't see why the event couldn't go on. | |
| Posted by: CrowScape | Posted on: Tuesday December 13 2005 1:31pm |
| Next weekend is Christmas. After that I'm off to North Carolina for two weeks. I "return" Friday the 13th (so my plane will crash, naturally), but every time I've been out there my flight gets cancled, so going by tradition that means I return Saturday or Sunday, which means that weekend is not a safe bet. Then the semester begins. So, if you want me to attend a gathering, it's this weekend or bust. | |

Greetings, I don't know what's going on this weekend now. There is an event in chi-town that some want to engage in, and I have a graduation party to attend on friday night. I will be around saturday afternoon, most of friday, and sunday. Perhaps we should postpone the oldschool till later, or not. Let's discuss what we want to do openly and freely. B_W |

That's interesting...I always thought the thing that makes Apple different (some would say *special*) is the fact that their hardware costs more and is often broken. ;) I site SqueekyBBQ who after several weeks of effort Apple finally allowed me to send it in for repair. At this point, given Apple's track record of "quality" hardware, I'm not very optimistic that I'll get a computer worth what I paid for it back. I could rant on and on me thinks about bad software. But I think we all know that bad software can and does come from every possible orgin for a plethora of reasons. Ones bias's though make it pretty easy to ignore the faults in one's favorite (in this case) distribution channel. I'm sure if the Woz did offer examples and think about some third party apps he'd realize that. Shit, a few weeks ago I tried installing Ubuntu Linux on a box. It's supposedly SO WONDERFUL! Yeah, the gorram thing was so wonderful it sent itself into an infinate loop during the ever so easy installer. When I run an installer I expect to install software. Not sit and spin. |

"Apple has treated itself more like a hardware company than a software company, even though it really is the Macintosh operating system that makes it different." That's interesting...I always thought the thing that makes Apple different (some would say *special*) is the fact that their hardware costs more and is often broken. ;) "Microsoft, Apple and AOL, they tend to turn out the crappiest products...I get third-party stuff and it's almost always just better, cleaner and more understandable." WTF? Has this man even used a computer since 1985, or does he just talk about them? I mean, I like Thunderbird better than Outlook, etc, but pretty much every third party app I've tried on the Mac has been a steaming pile of shit and wasted time. Awful convenient for him to not provide any examples. Apple Pro apps for t3h win, especially if you want to get paid. |

so the apple, software company vs hardware company debate is settled. inquirer.stanford.edu/2005/jstaffor/woz.html a quote from the WAZ himself INTERVIEWER: "Do you think we'll see OS X on non-Apple boxes in the future?" THE WAZ: "No, I don't. Apple has been very adamant and has stuck by their guns for a long, long time and they put everything at risk in the company many times to basically say that we're going to be a proprietary operating system and you're going to have to buy our hardware to run it. Apple has treated itself more like a hardware company than a software company, even though it really is the Macintosh operating system that makes it different. " |

Nearscape, Wow...that...was...hmmm....something. ;) I'm better to have seen it than to have not. ;) news.yahoo.com/fc/world/france I just ran across this. France is going to spend 1 million euros to 'rebuild it's image' after the riots. Wisconsin used to have just about that much in it's tourism budget, just, to tell you to go to lakes and go fishing and stuff. That money amount doesn't seem nearly enough to quell the images of those hundreds of cars burning in 300 metropolitan areas at once...perhaps that's just me. ;) B_W |

R.I.P. HOSTSAVE Sad to say....HostSave, our hosting site, is no more. It has unfortunately lost the battle of the big bussinesses and has been crushed. Please take some time to reflect upon all the joy that HostSave has brought us while it dies before our eyes. That said, the merger will be complete and tomorrow HostSave officially becomes Gate.com. According to their site, nothing will change other than the name, but in case Spoolan or Pulgari.com stop working temporarily tomorrow you will know why. Nearscape, you may want to check up on this just in case they don't change the root on us and render your magnificent perl script useless. |

So, if it is at Intrigue's, can I get an address and some directions? Parking instructions? Happy ending? And yes Whisky, that was me talking smack about football, and I've been doing so ever since the sport was invented a couple weeks ago. So I've got seniority to talk about how the Packer's revolving offence couldn't tip the bailywick into a half-back infiltration even if their gropper had the yard arm. And if you don't know what that means, that just proves how ignorant you are sucka! BTW nearscape: thanks for that fotm link. I used the bill it mentioned in a paper. :) |

It sounds like we'd rather have another retro event here in milwaukee this year, but check this out. richlindberg.com/chicagolan/portal.php www.tribalwar.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=410314 I'd like to go to something like this soon. I'd like to see what they do, and if we can learn something from them and maybe grow SpooLAN into something like this. Not too big, but a little more oomph... If anyone hears of anything else like this going on close by (and by that I mean milwaukee/chicago/madison preferably) please post here, I'd like to check it out. |

This is like Peter making a baseball referance...I never hear you guys talking about it on the day to day, but when something worth sassying about happens, well, you're first in line! ;) That's rich! 2. Peter, I would totally be there to watch this FILM, but unfortunatly this is the worst week possible. If you want to see it any day after Saturday, I am so down you don't even know how down I am. The DBBQC was busting out one of his many, old, crappy, handles. Yeah, I found PKWare up there when walking back from work. I never really beleived that it was there. Oh, Dr. Chaos did successfully blow up a Cellcom Tower. They had to park a truck out there to temporairly send out a signal. |
